Accessibility in the public domain

Wheelchair-bound persons have a right to free access to the public space. In the furnishing of a public space, i.e. with Public Elements®, it is equally important that they are presented with solutions that enable use without restriction.

For this reason, we have created product families with characteristics that are specifically geared towards the needs of wheelchair users. For example, our designs allow wheelchairs to manoeuvre under the table surface, enabling the user to sit a normal distance from the edge of the table. Or the integration of wheelchair spaces in seating areas so that wheelchair users can enjoy interexchange with everyone else – in the same location and the same height.
