If required, BURRI can take over the project management as a total contractor and coordinate architects, authorities, construction companies and suppliers with the aim of achieving an efficient and sustainable overall solution. Thanks to our extensive experience, we can cover the entire service chain – from comprehensive planning and project management to series production and construction and installation management. We rely on tried-and-tested systems and components that meet the requirements of public spaces and enable low life cycle costs in the long term. For overall project management, we also have access to a strong, long-standing network of partners who can optimally complement our services as required.

Stopping point infrastructure must meet specific requirements. It must be designed safely and offer protection against the weather, it must be robust and as resistant as possible to vandalism. And its appearance should match the corporate design of the respective transport company. Our infrastructure solutions meet all these criteria. The product range extends from customized individual stopping points to well-designed stopping shelters and various modular stopping point systems for simple but also very complex transport infrastructures. To name just two of numerous stopping point projects throughout Switzerland: The Glatttalbahn and the Limmattalbahn both rely on BURRI solutions.

Non-motorized transport - i.e. bicycles, e-bikes or even e-scooters - is becoming increasingly popular, and the range of options and the need for use in cities and rural areas is growing continuously. BURRI is responding to this development and offers various parking and storage solutions, shelters and fastening and safety elements in the Human Powered Mobility (HPM) segment that can be linked to the stopping point infrastructure.

In addition to our core competence in stopping point infrastructure, we also develop, implement, install and maintain numerous objects in the streetscape that provide orientation and safety. We launched conical tubular steel candelabras for street lighting in this country and later developed the first angled and T-posts as well as entire signal bridges for road signalization. Our complex electromechanical installations, such as the hydraulically lowerable highway crash barriers, were unique worldwide when they were introduced and still fulfill their purpose smoothly today.
