Monitor steles at Zurich Airport

At Zurich Airport, every traveler encounters Public Elements® at regular intervals - from signage and advertising technology to barrier posts and store fronts. BURRI has successfully completed two further projects for the airport. Having previously supplied 86-inch monitors for the baggage claim area, we received an order for additional 42-inch monitors a year later.

In cooperation with Clear Channel, BURRI developed the monitor pedestals for the 86-inch monitors, whereby the design was based on the existing info monitor mounts.

To ensure accurate planning, BURRI carried out extensive on-site surveys, taking into account uneven floors and other factors in the design. The bespoke 180x70mm laser-welded steel columns were manufactured specifically for the airport. The monitor columns were powder-coated in RAL 7016 anthracite grey to blend in with the airport ambience.

During the production of the 42-inch monitors, many elements of the beams manufactured in the previous year were reused, which enabled them to be installed quickly and on schedule. Three 42-inch monitors were attached to each of the new structures. The racks themselves are made of steel and aluminum sheets and are characterized by their low height. This not only ensures an attractive design, but also easy handling and maintenance.

The 42-inch monitors are used to inform passengers when their baggage is ready to be collected from the conveyor belt.
