Landi
The Landi Bench is probably the best known Swiss bench. Designed by Alfred Altherr & Charles Hoch, Landi Bank established itself as an integral part of the Swiss cityscape. Developed for the Swiss National Exhibition in 1939, Landi Bank has for decades served in public parks, city squares, vantage points and railway stations. Its timeless form, durability and weather resistance make "the Landi" a popular bench for various applications in public spaces. Adapted to the size of today's people and the changing needs of public spaces, new typologies complement the original version of the classic bench produced in Switzerland.
In 2019, the Landi celebrates its eightieth birthday. To mark this occasion, BURRI has reinstated the original version Landi Classic 1939 in its range.
