Grâce à l’optimisation constante de la matrice de LED, le luminaire METRO permet une répartition lumineuse particulièrement homogène et précise, tout en réduisant l’éblouissement et la consommation d’énergie. Une gestion thermique perfectionnée constitue un facteur décisif pour la durée de vie. Le robuste support du luminaire conduit la chaleur des LED vers le solide boîtier METRO. Un revêtement innovant protège le boîtier de la corrosion sans l’isoler. Un contrôle du flux lumineux constant assure un flux lumineux régulier et prolonge ainsi la durée de vie de l’appareil. Le design a été spécialement conçu pour minimiser les coûts liés au cycle de vie : un montage simple, une orientation précise avec un angle d’inclinaison réglable en continu, un verre spécial antireflet à haute transmission et une structure modulaire intelligente garantissent une facilité d’entretien exceptionnelle.
Les équipements LED individuels permettent des hauteurs de montage comprises entre 3 et 20 mètres. La souplesse des options de montage permet - indépendamment du tracé de la route - d’obtenir une solution d’éclairage uniforme grâce à des adaptateurs pour montage vertical, en porte-à-faux, sur câble, au mur ou au plafond. Il sont faciles à intégrer dans les systèmes de contrôle, de la réduction de l’éclairage nocturne par capteurs à la commande individuelle par radio ou Powerline. Le guidage précis de la lumière, le verre spécial hautement transparent et une orientation réglable en continu permettent d’éviter toute forme de diffusion ou d’éblouissement inutile et permettent de grandes distances entre les points lumineux.

BURRI public elements has over 80 years of experience in the manufacturing of lighting poles. 40 years ago, BURRI contributed significantly to efficiency and flexibility in street and areal lighting technology with its innovative light mast coupling. From the beginning of concept phase BURRI is focused on low life cycle costs, flexibility and high usability. Hence, besides state of the art LED technology, the modular METRO-LED lighting system offers easy installation and handling. Thanks to an optimized adjustment mechanism the spread of the lens guided light can be customized to suit the requirements on-site. This allows for a precise illumination with little glare or light pollution.

The contemporary design, where form follows function, was created by the renowned industrial designers of NOSE from Zurich. With its compact, yet elegant design, the METRO LED light integrates subtly into every modern cityscape. In close collaboration with industrial microsystems AG, a precise, modular luminaire was developed. The company has longstanding expertise in modern traffic management regarding LED technology and control systems. Furthermore, flexible manufacturing in Switzerland also allows for smaller batches with specialized equipment and an individually customized light spread and control unit.
High efficiency and longevity
Premium materials and optimized heat-management
The flat custom glass with duplex anti-reflection coating prevents glare and combines 99% transmittance with a high degree of self-cleaning. The compact aluminium luminaire is closely fitted into the aluminium housing, providing optimal heat-management. A specialized oxide coating, similar to those used in the defense industry, protects the surface and allows for a convective flow of heat without an isolator (such as lacquer or coating).

An important factor regarding durability is sophisticated heat management. The compact luminaire transfers the heat from the LED to the METRO housing, which acts as a heat sink. Customizable, two level night time dimming grants significant energy savings, while allowing for adequate lighting at the same time. The CLO technology, by monitoring the luminous flux, insures a constant lumen output, further increasing the longevity. Careful optimization of the LED matrix has allowed for a significant increase in light spot distance. This allows for a wider luminaire spacing, markedly lowering the investment needed.
