Travel safely and well informed through the Vereina Tunnel

The Vereina Tunnel is more than just a piece of infrastructure: it is a central lifeline for Graubünden. As a year-round connection between Prättigau (Klosters) and Engadin (Sagliains), it reliably brings people to their destinations – commuters as well as vacationers, delivery services, and emergency services. The journey through the 19 km long tunnel takes around 18 minutes, replacing a challenging Alpine crossing, especially when weather and season make the pass routes difficult

With so many people on the move, orientation is essential for smooth operations – and this is precisely where clear, robust signage comes into play.

For this project, we equipped our tried-and-tested Soleil F12 poster stands with custom-made special panels for hanging and implemented sophisticated, glare-free lighting that meets all the requirements of the Rhaetian Railway. The formats remained flexible so that the analog posters could be optimally adapted to the tunnel space.

The challenge was to effectively stage the signage in the middle of ongoing railway operations. Thanks to our experience in public spaces and in the railway sector, we were able to efficiently implement the project from award to installation in a short period of time.
