New signage for HSG

The campus of the University of St. Gallen (HSG) has been given a new signage system so that students, visitors and teaching staff can find their way around the extensive grounds as quickly as possible. The project was created in collaboration with Spinform Design from Lenzburg.

The HSG is one of the largest business schools in Switzerland and is home to almost 10,000 students. So that everyone can find their way around more quickly, the campus and all the teaching buildings scattered throughout the city as well as the Learning Center were given new signage.

The information and guidance system, consisting of orientation steles with separate reliefs over signposts and house labels, was developed and produced in collaboration with Spinform Design Lenzburg. In terms of color, everything was implemented in the HSG corporate design.

The base color was specially mixed for the HSG and has a lotus effect, which makes cleaning easier and prevents vandalism. This effect means that dirt and tags adhere less well to the surface and can be easily removed. The lettering on the steles was foiled so that it can be easily adjusted in the future. The steles are mounted on prefabricated foundations that were produced specifically to meet customer needs. This is both cost and time efficient.

The new signage ensures orientation for all stakeholders and can easily be expanded in the future.
