PubliBike

Since September 2016, BURRI public elements AG has been the exclusive full-service infrastructure provider for the innovative and future-oriented bike-sharing system PubliBike. On 30 November 2017, the first network featuring new rental stations and bikes was opened in Lausanne-Morges, and networks in Sion, Lugano, Zurich and Bern are set to follow.

PubliBike is an important player in the future mobility market. Bike sharing is the ideal complement to private and public transport, and is a useful and efficient mode of transport for young and old, in particular over short distances. Today, e-bikes make up around half of the bicycle fleet.

BURRI developed the BRS ZERO BIKE product family in close collaboration with the client and the design professionals at NOSE. Throughout, BURRI’s key contribution has been its broad knowledge and smart solutions in the development of high-quality urban furniture. All of the client’s requirements could be integrated successfully into a standardised product family that can nevertheless also be used on an individual basis. As a full-service infrastructure provider, BURRI offers a package that is nothing less than pampering; for PubliBike, BURRI is manufacturing, transporting, assembling and mounting the various stations, as well as supplying spare parts for the partners of the bike rental service.
