“swiss public elements”
Outdoor furniture for the House of Switzerland
For the Digital Workshop module, students at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences were required to design transportable, multifunctional outdoor furniture for the “House of Switzerland” as part of their autumn semester project. The creations were built, among others, with help of the company Trumpf AG, using the latest sheet metal technology and laser cutting.
On completion, the exciting results were exhibited at BURRI and each young designer could present their creation to a professional jury for feedback and assessment. Besides the professors Matthias Zäh and Christof Sigerist, the jury was composed of Ivo Jordi (Trumpf AG), Phillip Ittig (House of Switzerland), Annette Spillmann (spillmann echsle architekten) and Martin Burri.
