Invitation to tender won by BURRI

Alongside its role of total contractor for the entire stopping point station infrastructure for the Limmattalbahn, BURRI is now also assuming the role of lighting specialist. These are two entirely separate tenders for which BURRI proved ultimately convincing. As a result, Limmattalbahn AG can look forward to receiving competent consulting and implementation from a single source.

Around 900 catenary suspended luminaires will be installed along the 13.4 kilometre Limmattalbahn track. The exact schedule is not yet available, but the final deliveries and assembly will take place in late 2020 / beginning of 2021.

The LOOP circular catenary luminaire, which boasts high efficiency and optimal user friendliness, is ideal for use in the public outdoor space. Separately interchangeable LED modules, operating devices and control systems all serve to ensure a long service life. LOOP can be configured with over 25 different light distributions and has a maximum output of 150 watts. The timeless round design offers virtually no contact surface for wind, while the robust mechanism ensures stable mounting above the road.
