The LIVING ROOM luminaire with its elegant and simple design brings a living room feeling to the outdoor space. This is also the case at the new Vivale senior center in Winterthur. The over 4m high luminaires with a shade diameter of 1m made of powder-coated stainless steel are extremely robust. They differ from their smaller sisters from the standard range by having five instead of three integrated downlights. The energy-efficient LED technology brings warm light colors into the room. Precise alignment prevents light pollution upwards or on facades. The inclined shade of the LED floor lamp, distributes the light asymmetrically and thus provides cozy islands of light in public spaces. By combining the luminaire with Landi benches, a feel-good outdoor living room was created in the new senior center, where people can feel at home and comfortable even at dusk. Thus, the new senior residence now has a pleasant atmosphere even at night.
The design of the LIVING ROOM luminaire comes from Reto Marty (Studio nachtaktiv, Zurich) and has been awarded the German Design Award in the ETH Zurich project in 2019.
