The Landi Bench is probably Switzerland’s best-known bench seat.
Designed by Alfred Altherr and Charles Hoch, it has become an inherent element of the Swiss urban landscape. Originally developed for the Swiss National Exhibition of 1939, the Landi Bench has been in service for decades in public parks and city squares, at vantage points and in Swiss railway stations.
Its weather resistance, durability and timeless form make the Landi a popular bench seat for diverse applications throughout the public realm. Now adapted to the proportions of contemporary users and the changing requirements of public spaces, its new typologies complement the original version of this classic ‘Made in Switzerland’ product.
