Since the Landi Bench was first presented at the State Exhibition in Zurich in 1939, BURRI has time and again garnered attention with its products for the public space at consumer exhibitions such as Expo02.
Now, BURRI has now brought the greatly versatile Landi Bench to the State Horticultural Show in Überlingen. On this occasion, the classic piece of outdoor furniture is taking the form of round, curved and long benches, which were manufactured especially for the event. The slat ends were bevelled to ensure accurate alignment with the raised flower beds, and all products were installed on site using a special floor mounting. In this way, BURRI ensured that the benches would meet the demanding requirements of the organisers of the State Horticultural Show and of all the involved planners, gardeners and landscapers, as well as the City of Überlingen.
The State Garden Show took place from April 23 to October 18, 2020 and offered five different exhibition areas with highlights such as floating gardens and a new riverside park. This remained in place permanently beyond the Landesgartenschau and has become an attractive public leisure and recreation area for the local population. The Landi will therefore continue to serve Lake Constance for many years to come.
