High-contrast colour choices and tactile features serve to help visually impaired and blind people. Relocation from the wheelchair to seating elements is easy thanks to the use of different heights and smooth seating surfaces that take account of the transfer surfaces required by wheelchair users. Some elements include arms and backrests, while these are omitted in others, enabling as many types of use as possible.
The inclusion furniture is currently installed in the grounds of the university in Wädenswil, where it has already been tested by a broad range of user groups. Much of the feedback from these tests has been extremely positive. This is the embodiment of inclusion. And it is a perfect summary of BURRI’s own philosophy. Here, the BURRI vision appears quite apt: “Public spaces are more important than buildings. They make cities alive”. The idea of inclusion is also reflected in the BURRI product pledge. Indeed, the Landi Inclusion line creates a sense of identification and quality of life, everywhere and for everyone. Fully lived and realised social compatibility and usability – for many years and across the generations.
