Designed by Alfred Altherr and Charles Hoch, the Landi bench established itself as an integral part of the Swiss cityscape from 1939 onwards. Developed for the Swiss National Exhibition in 1939, the Landi bench has been performing its service in public parks, on city squares, at vantage points and in railway stations for decades.
The timeless shape, durability and weather resistance make "the Landi" a popular bench for various applications in public spaces. Adapted to the size of people today and the changing needs in public spaces, new typologies complement the original version of the Swiss-made classic.
